The Pacific Leadership Forum (PLF) has accepted an invitation from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to tour the newly completed Auckland New Zealand Temple. The tour is part of the temple’s open house program, with PLF members scheduled to visit on Wednesday, 26 February.
The invitation was extended to the Pacific Leadership Forum, chaired by Teleiai Edwin Puni, with two tour sessions allocated. Representatives from Samoa, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, and Papua New Guinea are scheduled for the 1:30 p.m. session, while delegates from the Cook Islands, Tonga, Fiji, Niue, Tokelau, Tuvalu, and Kiribati will attend at 1:45 p.m.
PLF members have been asked to confirm their attendance and provide necessary details for health and safety requirements. The visit will conclude with a group photo and refreshments at the Cultural Hall.
The Auckland Temple open house begins on 22 February with visits from special guests. From 24 to 26 February, invited guests will tour the temple throughout the day, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Auckland New Zealand Temple is the second temple built by the LDS Church in New Zealand, following the Hamilton New Zealand Temple, which was dedicated in 1958. The Auckland Temple is located in Redoubt Road, Manukau, and will be open for public tours before its official dedication.
