The Ministry of Finance has announced that retail fuel prices in Samoa will remain unchanged for March 2025. The prices, inclusive of VAGST, are as follows: Petrol at $2.99 per litre, Diesel at $3.10 per litre, and Kerosene at $2.70 per litre.

According to the release, the decision to maintain February prices was due to the lack of cargo loadings in January, which typically set March prices. The next fuel price review will be on 1 April 2025.

A comparison of regional fuel prices shows Samoa’s petrol price at $2.99 SAT per litre, lower than New Zealand’s $4.36 SAT, Australia’s $3.11 SAT, and Fiji’s $3.22 SAT. Diesel in Samoa is priced at $3.10 SAT per litre, also under New Zealand’s $4.34 SAT, Australia’s $3.29 SAT, and Fiji’s $2.79 SAT.

Country Petrol (ULP) Diesel (ADO)

The table compares retail fuel prices in Samoa, Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji, converted to Samoan Tala (SAT).
