The Football Federation Samoa has announced the appointment of Faumuina Margaret Pauline G. Crichton as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 3 March 2025.
Faumuina, also known as Polly, brings over 15 years of experience in sports administration and leadership. She previously co-owned a real estate business with her husband and served as Assistant Chief Executive Officer in Corporate Services for the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. She has also held roles as an Independent Finance Board Member of Lakapi Samoa and Vice President of Marist St Joseph’s Sports Club.
A former national representative in football and hockey, Faumuina holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from the UK and Samoa.
Football Federation Samoa President, Papalii, said Faumuina’s leadership, vision, and passion for the sport, combined with her corporate knowledge, would support the Federation’s strategic goals. “Her experience is greatly needed as the Federation undertakes numerous infrastructure and development projects and prepares for its first FIFA World Cup tournament,” he said.
“I am committed to working closely with the Board, stakeholders, clubs, players, and communities to build a stronger, more inclusive, and successful future for football,” said Faumuina.
The Federation looks forward to Faumuina’s leadership in advancing football development and delivering positive outcomes both on and off the pitch.
