Asomaria Kalameli Sapa’u, a teacher at Vailoa Faleata Primary School, has dedicated her academic success to her parents, especially her father who is currently unwell.
She was among the recent graduates from the National University of Samoa, completing her Postgraduate Degree in just one year.
Speaking to Samoa Newshub, Mrs. Sapa’u said managing her time was one of the biggest challenges she faced while juggling work and study.
“As a teacher, I had to focus on preparing daily lessons for my students. That made it hard to balance my time with assignments,” she said. “But I managed with the support of my husband, children, and work colleagues.”
Mrs. Sapa’u said she hopes her journey can inspire her own children.
“I believe that a mother is someone her children look up to. I want to show them that no matter your age or the challenges you face, you can achieve anything.”
She hails from the villages of Levi Saleimoa and Tuana’i.
